Lived in England for over 15 years, worked as a senior mental health and addictions practitioner in various settings ranging from mother and baby units to geriatrics. Moved to Canada with his family and has worked as an Addictions Counsellor for AHS in Fort McMurray before joining a social profit organization where he worked as a Wellness Manager. Has experience working in acute admission wards, rehabilitation services, forensics, learning disabilities, community settings, crisis resolution services both as a front line worker, trainer and in leadership. His preferred style of leadership is a transformational and empowering approach. Passionate about tackling homelessness, poverty alleviation, creating safety and supports for community members experiencing mental illness, addictions and other socio-economic challenges. Advocate for cultural humility and appreciation for diversity. Believes there is need to create safe spaces for healing and reconnection with self worth.

Dr. Tomi Mitchell a Board-Certified Family Physician and Certified Health & Wellness Coach. She has over a decade of experience as a practicing physician. She is passionate about youth & adult mental health & wellness. She has extensive experience working with clients from diverse backgrounds. Dr Mitchell believes that youths should be given opportunities to explore the world around them which will help them develop their social, ethical, emotional, physical and cognitive competencies. She has volunteered and spoken to many organizations raising awareness about youth development. She continues to share her knowledge and skill with the youth-serving community through public speaking & coaching. She is the host of the podcast: The Mental Health & Wellness Show. She has been featured multiple times in Ariana Huffingtons Thrive Global magazine as well as KevinMD, the leading social media platform for healthcare professionals. She is an Executive Contributor to Brainz Magazine, a leading European magazine for professionals as well had been featured in many other media outlets.
Dr. Anita Ewan

Dr. Anita Ewan (RECE, RSW, PhD) is a mother of six, early childhood educator, social worker, researcher, professor and doula in-training. She teaches at Red Deer Polytechnic as a full-time faculty member in social work. Anita completed her Ph.D. at Wilfrid Laurier University, alongside an M.Ed. in Adult Education and Community Development at OISE/University of Toronto, and a B.A.in Early Childhood Studies at the Toronto Metropolitan University in Early Childhood Studies. Anita has over 10 years of experience working with children and families in a wide variety of contexts (i.e., early learning and childcare centres, centres for teenage parents, parent-child centres, and recreational programming). She is passionate about helping children and their families, particularly mothers and those who are African/Black. Anita is committed to creating better mental health services for birth givers in Canada.
