Dr. Doriane Intungane is a macroeconomist researcher and an assistant professor in the Department of Anthropology, Economics, and Political Science at MacEwan University. She began her educational journey with a bachelor’s degree in economics and international Trade from the University of Lake Tanganyika. She continued learning, earning a master’s degree in economics from the University of Windsor. In 2019, she got her PhD in Economics from Toronto Metropolitan University. Her macroeconomics research focuses on the interaction of macroeconomic policies and decision-making by economic agents at the international level.

Her research studies have been published in various peer-reviewed journals. As she continues to work on macroeconomic research, she has also extended her research to include community-based research focusing on understanding the challenges of visible minorities in their integration into the Canadian labour market. She has taught various economics courses and focused on creating an inclusive and flexible learning environment in her teaching.

Her involvement doesn’t end at the classroom door; she mentors students in their academic journey and enjoys working with women interested in economics professions. Beyond academia, she collaborates with others in the community to establish regulations that promote collective prosperity.

She enjoys meeting individuals passionate about economics, inclusion, education, and learning. Whether they are discussing the latest economic policy developments or exploring collaborative opportunities, she is eager to connect and discover fresh ways to enhance the world for everyone.
