In her 24-year journey as a Canadian resident, Perfect Ndlovu (RSW) has dedicated her career to creating positive impacts within diverse communities. Her professional trajectory commenced in Montreal, Quebec, where she served as an educator in elementary schools and later as a Registered Nurse at the Montreal General Hospital.
Relocating to Alberta, Perfect pursued her studies at the University of Calgary, attaining a Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) degree. During her tenure in Northern Alberta, she contributed as a Child and Youth Care Counselor with Woods Homes and as a Family Support Worker with the YMCA, demonstrating her unwavering commitment to supporting individuals and families in need.
Upon settling in Edmonton, AB, Perfect continued her impactful work as a Support Worker with Youth Empowerment Support Services and as a Generalist with Family Centre. Over the past five years, she has been living and thriving as a Community Social Worker with the Government of Northwest Territories (GNWT).
Perfect’s dedication to professional development is evident in her recent graduation from the University of Lethbridge with a specialization in Advanced Clinical Studies in Addictions. Her practice modalities are rooted in anti-oppressive principles, a family-centered approach, ecological systems and diversity, inclusion, self-determination, and collaborative delivery systems.
